Use Easy Charge

Purpose

Use Easy Charge to charge an existing or new customer for a custom amount, one or more products, or a subscription.

Before you begin

• Confirm that you are working in the correct company account and environment.
• Have the customer’s name, contact information, payment method, and billing address available.
• Know whether the charge is for a custom amount, product, or subscription.
• For a live account, confirm the amount and customer authorization before selecting Charge. This action submits the payment.

Procedure

Step 1: Open Easy Charge

Select Easy charge in the left navigation.

Step 2: Select or add the customer

1. Select Full Name.
2. Begin typing the customer’s name.
3. Select a matching customer from the list. If there is no match, use the option to create and save a new customer.

Step 3: Confirm payment and contact details

For an existing customer:

1. Select the appropriate saved card, or select + Add new card.
2. Verify the cardholder name, email address, phone number, and billing address.
3. Select Continue.

For a new card or customer, enter all fields marked with an asterisk. The CVV is shown as optional in the interface. If Use customer’s name as cardholder is cleared, enter the cardholder name separately.

Step 4: Choose what to charge

In the Order section, choose one option:

• Custom Amount — enter an amount and, optionally, a description.
• Sell Product(s) — search the catalog, add the product or products, and verify quantity.
• Sell Subscription — select a subscription template and verify its initial payment, recurring amount, cadence, and end condition.

Switching order types after entering details may clear the current amount, basket, or subscription selection.

Step 5: Enter and confirm the order details

For a custom amount:

1. Enter the amount.
2. Add a short description if it will help identify the transaction later.
3. Select Continue.

For products or subscriptions, confirm each selected item’s price and configuration, then select Continue. If a physical product requires delivery, select or add a shipping address and shipping method before continuing. The delivery fee is added to the summary.

Step 6: Review and submit the charge

1. Verify the customer, contact information, payment method, order details, subtotal, delivery fee, and total.
2. Use a pencil/edit icon to correct the customer or order section if necessary.
3. Select Charge only after every value is correct and the customer has authorized the transaction.

Step 7: Confirm the result

Wait for the processing screen to finish. A successful result provides order and transaction information. Record the IDs if required by your team’s process. If the payment fails, keep the customer on the line and follow the displayed error guidance before retrying.

Troubleshooting

• Continue is unavailable: Complete every required customer or order field and correct fields shown in red.
• Charge is unavailable: Confirm the customer section, order section, required shipping details, and payment method. The button remains unavailable until all required sections are valid and confirmed.
• Customer is not listed: Type the full name and use the new-customer option when no match is found.
• No suitable product or subscription appears: Confirm that the correct order type is selected and that the item exists in the catalog.
• Total is unexpected: Review item quantities, initial subscription charges, and the delivery fee before proceeding.

Completion criteria

• The processing result reports success.
• The expected order and transaction are present.
• The customer, amount, and payment method match the authorization received.
